day 21

I really wanted a long lie today but woke up at 7am so I made a cup of tea and went back to bed to watch the episode of The Good Wife that I slept through the other night. After breakfast I did copious amounts of filing despite doing some every night during the week. Do I file chicken salad in chicken or salads or both – oh, too much for my brain to cope with on my day of rest!

In the afternoon we went for a drive around the coast to Youghal, along some long, winding roads some of which went nowhere. One ended up at this beach where we we watched a couple of kids playing in the rock pools.

This is The Clock Tower (built in 1777) in Youghal where we stopped for coffee and an ice cream. Time was running out so we just had a walk along the main street and headed ‘home’.

At ‘home’ there were five of us for dinner. Five of us trying to cook three different meals on the tiny electric cooker. Definitely too many cooks but eventually we all sat down to a light meal with salad. And then early to bed.
