day 29, monday

I thought April was the showery month! The weather was sunny this morning and then poured on and off all afternoon and after school we were back to sunshine! This is my walk to school every day and if you look behind the large pot in the middle of the photo you can just see the roof of our house. A pretty good start to the day especially when the weather’s as good as this.

I had a successful morning – my spatchcocked chicken with verdura mista (char-grilled vegetables marinated in olive oil, lemon juice and fresh herbs in case you were wondering) was really tasty and looked gorgeous on the plate and of course I forgot to take a picture. My bread was fantastic! I was so proud of it – even as a dough it looked lovely and rose perfectly. 🙂

And it’s not the one hiding behind the flowers!

A lovely evening for a brisk walk along the beach before homework and then bed.
