day 78, monday

Well, today was our last day of cooking. This is all I had to show for a morning’s work. Chocolate cases.

I made a bit more than this but sadly my tarte tatin ended up in the hens bucket. (Those poor hens – but they do lay amazing eggs!) It was a little on the overdone side but when we tasted it, the caramel was salty! Somehow salt had got into the caster sugar bin. Disaster – not only for me but for everybody else that had used caster sugar and that included Pam’s work for demo in the afternoon.

The chocolate cases are used for serving ice cream or mousse. I also made a chocolate biscuit cake which will be served with coffee tomorrow at our last demo of the course.
